This is a hard series to try and recreate with such a loyal fan base, but they did as well of a job as you can for a live action series. The movie that came out way back was unwatchably bad, so they at least seemed to take note of the criticism to be better. Great cast, awesome special effects, and beautiful scenery that is as close as you can get to the original cartoon series. I really appreciate that they didn't white wash everyone, like they normally do in Hollywood, so that gives me a little hope for future films; even if they painted with a wide Asian brush, it's at least a step in the right direction. Some main characters were cast better than others, but I found myself warming up to them as time went on. Other characters were spot on cast perfectly!! Loved the time and care they appeared to try to do with one of my favorite series!!
