Crazy how many years have gone by, but there’s still old hate for this “magical, white, wild, alt-nymphette.” Jody Foster made a lot of ridiculous films.

My go-to feel good movie! Jack Black immersed himself in polka culture. Awesome casting! Please don’t hesitate, it’s great! (I am a polka fan).

Is this movie a comedy, a melodrama, a satire or just bad? The people who paid to see this film got ripped off.

I enjoyed the “sisters” as they coped with a bad situation. Excellent comedy from two performers that I really like.

I must have seen this movie during the 1970s but I admit not remembering any of it. I adore Gena Rowlands but detest Peter Falk. This movie hasn’t aged well—were people ALL so ignorant and ill-mannered in 1974? I was a college freshman in 1974 and didn’t know people as repulsive as they were portrayed in this Cassavetes film. I could also have done without the kazoo music at the end.

I’m from where this original story happened. It captures the time and the characters like a time capsule. Theo Rossi and Chazz Palminteri are perfect!

Thought-provoking dystopian fantasy grounded in behavioral psychology. It’s based on Howey’s novels but doesn’t stick to them. The grimy Silo will make you feel like you need a hot shower after each episode.

It could have been four or five eps. Too long, and the leads’ mugging repeatedly for the camera added more irritation. Sam Claflin looked 40 years old in scenes where he played a twenty-something. Riley Keough thinks acting consists of looking straight into the camera. Camilla Morrone preens and shakes her hair in a “I am a goddess, worship me” way of portraying a wise rock ‘n ‘ roll woman that totally diminishes her already tenuous understanding of her role. They wasted the good looks and talent of Timothy Olyphant under pounds of hair. I personally wasted my time hoping the acting would get better. Sorry, no Emmys for you. Riley, an actual rock figure, played one note in a flashy role stretched over 10 episodes.
