As a voracious reader of mystery/crime/psychological thrillers for the past 60 years, there was no huge surprise in ‘The One.” However…as “they” say, there are no new plots beyond the 7…. It’s all in the telling of these stories. And wow, does John Marrs excel in that aspect. Not since I finished all of Freida McFadden’s books have I so hungrily devoured a book in 24 hours. The characters became vivid, living, breathing people. And as someone who has been on a dating site the book, quite frankly, gave me the best of creeps ! I highly recommend this thrilling read 😃
