Touting nuclear energy as a good solution to our climate crisis is a terrible idea. Nuclear disasters such as Chernobyl and Fukushima more recently have highlighted that nuclear is not the answer to climate change. Fukushima is still leaking highly radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean. Nuclear may not create emissions while in operation but there is no solution of what to do with waste products such as spent fuel rods. You are basically creating a biproduct which remains radiactive for thousands of years. Disappointed that Gates would tout this as a solution to our climate change problem. More effecient battery technology for renewable energy is what is needed. Nuclear energy in not the answer!
