Pretentious and not convincing. I am just watching it again, and towards the end there is another extended scene on the stairs with dramatic and tension-building music, all for what? Some guys walking down the stairs for a minute or so. And then an inexplicable waving about of the camera for another minute, and then it's over. Very ineffectual for all the pretentiousness of the cinematographic style.
