Let me begin by saying that I really wanted to like this movie when i read the synopsis and storyline. But once the actual film began right on with Anjali's cringe-worthy narration and with the exception of Anushka the other major stars who seemed to have NO depth to their projected characters, i lost all hope, and could figure out the actual "twist" within 15 minutes into the story, anyone would've!.
If they did want a horror/ thriller vibe to this, they shouldn't have revealed anything otherwise from the beginning, there were so many unnecessary side plots of Anjali and her family, but not enough of actual Anjali as a cop or some depth to her character that makes us connect to her in any way. Maddy was totally disappointing as well, sadly! His role was minimal yet unnecessarily annoying and exaggerated at many turns.
Also this film would've worked better in an Indian environment and setting over the fact that it was shot in Seattle , say maybe a villa in Ooty?, making it more relatable, lol!
In conclusion me as an audience was utterly disappointed with the superficial plot and characters and hope similar ventures in the future can learn from this one's mistakes!
