This movie gets way too much hate for what it was. Ridley Scott specifically said that the movie was gonna be historical fiction and that is what it was. I enjoyed the movie and can't wait for the extended edition. The extended edition of Scott's films are always better than the theatrical cut. They force Ridley to leave out way too much of the movie because they are afraid that if the movie is longer than 3 hours people will not want to see it. This movie had amazing cinematography and a fantastic soundtrack. I would 100% watch this movie again and I plan on doing so. I will say my only stipulation is that Scott did waver a little too far from reality in some scenes. Napoleon was a genius and was so influential he had an entire time period named after him and I feel like that wasn't portrayed enough it's almost like they wanted to make him seem almost half of the man he really was. Other than that the movie was great.
