I was looking forward to seeing this movie and was disappointed. The first few scenes I thought this would be like a Sam Peckinpah film especially the hanging scene. However the editing made the story hard to follow. For instance he’s saying goodbye to his girl in a Union uniform and rides off to go to war. The next scene he’s sitting by a fire with his little boy in civilian clothes. If it wasn’t for the editing I would have enjoyed the movie.
