The best film I’ve seen in ages. Heartwarming, funny and thought provoking. Deserves every award it’s won.

Spoiler alert - do not read the reviews before mine if you don’t want to spoil your enjoyment of this film! Personally I never look at reviews until after I have viewed a film for myself, and in this instance I would suggest that you do the same if you are seriously thinking of seeing it for yourselves. However, what I will say is that if you are someone who wants everything to make sense in a movie, this may not be one for you. On the other hand, if you love a bit of fantasy, like the Beatles catalog and can suspend reality, go and see it and enjoy a 2 hour break from the realities of the world and give yourself a treat!! I loved it, though living close to a lot of the locations used in Norfolk and Suffolk, did help me in that direction!

As part of a couple that went through the adoption process some 25 years ago, this was an excellent film that was thoughtful, heart warming, poignant but at the same time very funny a lot of the time. Recommended.
