Overall just not a good movie. Generally I’ve been a big fan of the other Purge movies but this one fell far short. It should not have been classified as horror because it was far more of an action film. At the same time the action scenes lacked the creativity of its predecessors and were underwhelming. Also, while all Purge movies have a political component, this plot seemed to be driven almost entirely by it. I felt that it resulted in a movie more focused on expressing political views than in creating a dynamic and high quality story.
