I have played and loved this series since Wasteland on the original Apple IIc, which was the inspiration for the Fallout series of games. Played all of them, multiple times. Own every Pip Boy and a framed lithograph of the Red Rocket station. Does this satisfy my 'cred' with this series? Good.
This show ROCKS. I paused after the first episode and had an honest conversation with myself asking "would I like this if I wasn't a fan of the games?" The answer is yes, and yes again. The world has been built faithfully and newcomers to the series are treated to a lush and vibrant apocalypse that has the most unique aesthetic around (it's called Ray Gun Gothic if anyone is interested). For fans of the series, this is a delight. Nods and callbacks everywhere, as well as filling in some gaps that us fans have been discussing for decades.
For those stating that they didn't like the way that some of the factions were handled, remind yourself of the timeline here: 2162 was the events of the first game, this takes place in 2299, almost 150 years later. Don't you think there would have been some changes to these organizations?
