If you are a fan of Halo and specifically the lore of the setting, or action sequences in general, or acting in general, just move along.
Three episodes in we have had one action scene, the complete demolishment of the entire premise of the covenant and why they are in conflict with humans, and an astounding amount of boring infodump that seems to serve no purpose other than to establish that in the John Haloverse, the military is horrifyingly evil to the point of stupidity, along with everyone else. All delivered with the sort of wooden faces and lack of emotion you would expect from a Xbox One level cutscene.
Who knows maybe you'll find something you enjoy about this show if you get enough episodes in, but at this point, why power through 3 hours of boring garbage in the hopes of maybe finding something, when you could just go watch something that's less horrifyingly trite and boring?
Oh and you know that human female that is somehow for some reason part of the covenant in this show despite it running counter to the entire premise of the covenant? Why do you think she is in the show? Why do you think they would add a female human to an alien race designed and intended to refuse to work with humans? A human female whose screen time is two conversations and a stripping scene?
Because John Halo got to get some. Of course. Because if the Spartan program is known for one thing, it's the sex.
This show has clearly been written to the lowest common denominator to get the most people viewing with the most boosting it can off of its title without having anything to do with any of the stuff that might have made the title interest in to begin with. This show would be better if they just retitled it "Generic Space Marine", because at least you would walk in expecting what you were going to get.
