If this drama ends well then it will soar to the top of my absolute favorite K-drama as #2. Goblin being will forever be my first. The chemistry between the leads makes this even more fun to watch. The plot catches you from the beginning and I found myself binge watching episodes 1-10 in one weekend. Then, I had the privilege of being in South Korea during the airing of episodes 11 and 12. So I got to watch them in real time instead of waiting for Netflix. This show has it all, action, mystery, comedy, and drama. You will find yourself invested in all the characters because the acting and storylines are so interesting. I look forward to the finale but I really hope it doesn't disappoint because I find a lot of K-dramas try to fit too much in the last episodes resulting in a rushed and incomplete conclusion. Still, just off the last 14 episodes, I have to say this is a really good drama and a must watch.

It's a good drama but I really just couldn't stomach the villain or his assistant. That portion was just a big turn off and a little too over the top. The story between the Prince and the North Korean soldier was well told. I like that she was strong and confident while in uniform but in truth she was a vulnerable woman looking for a romantic love. They did a good job on the Prince's character development as well. He started off as a cocky, immature, and self-centered but shifted his role as his responsibilities and feelings came into play. Overall, the kdrama is nicely done. My only complaint is the villain and the acting of the non Korean actors. It always seems like the non Korean actors try to hard in the dramas or movies. Since I was introduced over six months ago, all I really watch are Korean dramas and movies. There is something about the acting and OSTs that keep me hooked.

I loved the action and found myself really liking the male lead. The female lead KMJ had me a little frustrated. I liked her better when she presented herself as strong and confident. The bromance between the two male leads was quite comedic and I also love the character development that occured throughout the drama with the two male leads. One went from being a self-centered actor to a supportive friend while the other went from being closed off and secretive to a caring and protective brother. All in all, I recommend this drama. It took me a minute to get in the mindset to watch it because I thought it would be a typical action drama, but I was surprised and quite impressed. I will start looking for dramas with Park Hae-jin thanks to one.

This is an awful show. It doesn't even deserve one star. Turn it on as noise in the background and walk off to do something else. I know the content creator was looking for a way to bring more attention to Asians that have money but this show was not the way to do it. I found it disgusting that everyone talks about everyone else in their social circle. There was so much backstabbing and I have only gotten to episode four. One person I can honestly say I disliked from the beginning (half way into episode 1) was Dorothy. She in general has the worst personality. She shows up to a party two hours late which is very rude. She then proceeds to complain over social media that the party had no food. So far she has shown that she thinks the world revolves around her and that everyone needs to suck up to her. She even said as much in an interview when she said everyone likes her and wants to talk to her or something to that extent. No girl. Everyone likes your money and wants to suck up to you for social connections. She is pretentious, spoiled, bratty, and the list of any additional negative adjectives I could possibly think of. I have to wonder if maybe she was one of the reasons the show was cancelled. There are other cast members that I did not care for as well. Lynn, she too was not a nice person I found her stale and she remined me of an old woman who wants to stay relevant. People I felt had potential to be likable were Nam even though she is clueless with life and sadly doesn't know how to navigate without daddy's money. I liked Richard and Vika but I felt so bad for Richard because he really has no idea that he needs to drop this bunch of people and find a social circle where he is respected. I also liked the Hung's but I think that their relationship is based on deep pockets, botox and plastic surgery. I wasn't convinced that the two were deeply in love with each other. Overall, Bling Empire New York is not worth a watch. I am very glad that Netflix cancelled this show. It really has no potential unless you like watching a bunch of rich, bratty over entitled people talk about each other and complain about how hard it is to boil water.
