it’s been a long time since this reader picked up a book and read it cover to cover in a day or two. However, Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor was simply difficult to put down for long. If you’ve ever experienced anxiety building inside because you haven’t returned to a story where you left off, you will relive that feeling here. The plot, though mystical, takes a youngster through the ups, downs and life lessons learned after a loss of her parents. Mix a driven young woman, ghosts, a loving adoptive family & concomitant betrayal and you have the elements of an intriguing read. Mr. Warner, as it turns out, is a masterful story teller. Give him a try!
