Remember how chris gardnener always complains bout the spelling of the word happyness with a y instead of i in there. Its a symbolism to tell that happiness is being happy in whatever you have and stop complaining on and about everything. Whether its a y or i who cares as long as it is spelled same. The title of the movie says it all. Happiness doesnt come to you on its own. You need to look for it , pursue it and you will get it. The lead, chris, hits the bottom of the rock with more on him if possible but his hope to reach his dream, an agitation to prove to himself "yes i can do it" and the will to raise his son well against all odds, his zest to overcome it all , to be one against all the happy people he sees on his way is mesmerizing. Her wife who left him and yet his son stayed put . Thats what a family does. As much as he was willing to protect his son , christopher ,he returns the sane support in whatever way he understands. Him acting along with his dad pasing the scanner for a time machine or he not minding to stay in the same room with his dad., "You are a good papa" brings a wave of emotions. The hardships are real, we see ourselves in this movie, struggling for happiness, but it comes to only those who no matter how the circumastances go or how hard you get hit, if u r determined enough to get it , none can stop. The honesty of the movie is, it doesnt look realistic but feels one. Dont give up. From being homeless to a successful buisnessman this man worked damn hard for it. Hence he desrves it. The movie makes me cry in many scenes more than 5 times. It touches you deep enough to leave a forever imprint and is powerful enough to water that dying plant of hope inside your heart. In desperate times it gives you a ray to hold on. Overall i loved the movie and its realistic plot and the actors did a fab job no doubt and i love that kid. *and daymmmmm will smith looks so hot* *swoooooon* Its one of those movies you MUST watch once in ur life. You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Go get it.
