The show is a positive delight to watch. Tim and Pru feel like members of the family. Their retirement from the show is understandable but oh such a loss. Luckily we have the DVDs of the various series so have not lost the pleasure of their company completely. Sheila Hancock and Giles Brandreth have their work cut out that’s for sure. Not sure they would have sprung to mind as an ideal replacement couple but there you go.... I’d love to have seen Ruth Langsford and Edmond Holmes taking over from Pru and Tim. A married couple bring that extra something to the on screen relationship that’s impossible to create with a couple with such a wide age gap as Sheila and Giles. Nigel Havers and Felicity Kendall, although not married to each other, would have brought a charisma and charm all of their own. Anyway, will watch the next episode of this new series and hope some sort of warmth for these new presenters will develop. If not, then it’s Pru and Tim on DVDs all the way.
