With so many giving this show a hard time it’s a wonder that there is any joy left in the world. The show is above standard at its worse and tearfully joyful at its best. It makes good use of music at times of emotion and never over uses it to simply fill in the blanks. The use of silence is intense when coupled with awkward moments as well, leaving the viewer to suffer with the cast in their moment of grief. I have found the writing at times to be a great commentary of social politics in a world controlled by expectations that go past the moon by a simple tweet. The show expresses a network of confused patriots just trying to make it through their lives in the midst of intense pressures but in such a comedic tone that you sometimes forget that there is real drama at times. The trailers do a horrible job at conveying that this isn’t an “anti-trump” show. Yes you can find some of the jabs in there at moments but if you’re not overly sensitive you can roll with the laughs like everyone else. 9/10 with one point being taken off for the commercial issues alone. Other then that I love the show and hope it gets more positive attention going forward.
