I had high hopes for this movie after reading and loving the novel to say I was disappointed is an understatement. This movie was terrible. Not only is there absolutely zero character development that which drives you to feel for the characters in the novel, it just breezes through everything for example: I’m not sure about you but if I grew up in a marsh one of my hairs might be out of place occasionally how in the world does Tate stay so well groomed after days and years of fishing? The same applies for Kai. It’s a discombobulated jumbled mess as another reviewer put yes most main points happen same as the book but you have no idea why, there’s no feeling or description of anything. You feel no attachment to the mom, Jodi,Tate, Kai. The only attachment you feel honestly is to Jumping. He sees her. Anyways this movie is trash, read the book and then read another book and don’t waste your time watching this.
