Pansy Kwong

A movie that is paced slowly in the beginning. The dialogue between the women provides the insight into their society and makes them able to decide to leave their men in able to be able to live free lives and to be able to bring up their children in an environment that nurtures their empathy. The characters of the women are revealed through questioning each other and admitting to unhappiness with their current situations. The viewer becomes increasingly sympathetic to the women, rooting for them to take control of their lives.

An honest story about a senseless war from the view of an innocent soldier. There is no difference of view whether one was German or non-German. The stupidity of the war was clear. The leaders should have been held for the need for this war. It’s equally stupid requirements for armistice and punishment lead to another atrociously senseless war. I was very sad for the soldiers who did not understand the depravity of their “leaders”.
