I read this book when I was 12 and I’ve been typing “ted not teddy” trying to find it. Today google corrected me and I’ve never been happier. This book captured all of my attention. It is the reason why I love to read now. I can still remember part of it , I can almost see certain chapters and hear buds voice leap from the pages. The part about the tree and library are stuck on my mind. Amazing book
