Very niche movie aimed at college kids in a film criticism class. 2 stars for the great acting but everything else left my group disappointed. Lots of characters that I wished were more fleshed out and expanded on. The filming goes for some pretty ambitious angles and framing that is 50/50 imo. Some scenes gave me a headache and POV opportunities were missed (IMO of course). Art direction as a whole took very bold decisions and kind of flopped on the execution. Why black and white if you never use the contrast to your advantage? Storyline was boring, I went with a friend who was in Ireland at the time and they were the most disappointed of all. This is a movie that will make pretentious festival critics say "simply sublime". Didn't explain the conflict, civil strife is terrible and even that isn't very well portrayed. A short movie that felt like a much longer slog.
