An excellent read. I would describe it as historical fiction. The plot is fiction. However how things were racially at that time, is portrayed accurately.
While things have improved this book will make you aware that there is still room for improvement in many areas.

I watched all 6 seasons on Acorn TV. The acting was excellent. The storylines were interesting and true to life as it was in the 50s. Unfortunately though things have improved some of the prejudices and difficulties still exist today!
Anyone who enjoys historical drama will love this show.

They were trying to get a message across, about current issues faced somewhere in America everyday by black people. They did, but it was overkill!! Sayings and stereotypes all thrown together. However I think real life Karen’s and people who cannot relate to difficulties black people face all the time can learn something. It can’t be said that All Lives Matter…until BLACK lives matter too!!
When a black life is valued by many police and others, as equal to other lives we will be on the way to America being all it can be!!

It was just ok. Too many people giving bits of information. Very fragmented! Would not recommend it. 48 hrs or Dateline should do a segment on this!!
