I think it’s interesting how you either love it with five stars or you hate it with one; there’s not a whole lot in between. I definitely don’t consider it “the worst in the franchise“ didn’t really care for how “Corey” was being used as more of a metaphor of what can happen when you choose to give into your shadow side I guess. You can do the whole “how to not let tragedy make you a victim” just by focusing on Laurie’s survival which I think was the ultimate point, but felt like Cory was more of a distraction I really don’t think you need to explain that to the audience because that’s why we loved Laurie for 45 years anyway. I’d rather watch more “cat and mouse chasing“ to be where then they finally get Michael in a bigger showdown. I really like how in the end the whole town stood up with Laurie instead of against her and it actually ended specifically with the one thing that I said it would take to stop Michael. and I won’t say specifically what that is and “spoil “it. Nothing will EVER live up to the classic of Halloween one and I wish that it could’ve been more of that kind of spooky creepy then bloody violent but I get it. I think it was great but I understand other people’s disappointment in places. I had read some places where some people thought Laurie would die too in the process and if the writers had done that to her I would’ve been pissed off. Jamie and Laurie are the best. Definitely worth watching even if certain parts weren’t necessary
