In the BBC's new show 'Unspun' John Simpson recklessly trashes his credibility with his completely perverted take on the 'Ukraine' crisis. Whilst we were promised unbiased, reliable and honest 'analysis', what we got instead was every bit as intellectually dishonest as the Washington-approved pre-Iraq Invasion narrative fed to us 20 years ago and equally devoid of any factual basis. Nothing but John Simpson offering himself up as a beguiling old BBC foil to a procession of BBC-vetted talking heads voicing their utterly ridiculous pet-theories on 'Putins mindset', Putins mental-health', 'Putins deviant geo-strategic goals to "redefine Europe" ad nauseum. Not a single mention of Ukraines refusal to implement the Minsk Agreement, of the regular shelling of the Donbass by Ukraine since 2014, of the trauma suffered by the citizens living there, of Washingtons massive interference in both the political and civil spheres of Ukranian society, of the enormous political influence of the Ukraines far-right ultra-nationalist groups or the infiltration of Neo-Nazi mlitias into the regular Ukranian army now posing a real threat to Russian-speakers and to Russia itself. This was a shameful way for a long-serving and respected jornalist to end his career. Utterly pernicious load of drivel. Will be referring this programme to Ofcom.
