This book was way too long to tell this story. The main character isn’t especially likable unless you like driven characters who are singly focused and can’t see what the reader can. Maybe if 80-100 pages of the 433 were removed it would be more readable but around page 300 I was ready to give it up. I did finish but not sure it was worth it. I live in Orange County CA which is one reason why I read his books but I’ll be more selective in the future.
