Fantastic series! Binge watched it and now in withdrawal!! Didn't want it to end. Would love more seasons. The historical aspects of WW II were very well done particularly doing business with the Germans and the after effects following the war. Thought it surprising that there was so little about the Jews during the war years but pleasantly surprised that homosexuality was treated so well.All the actors were outstanding. I really missed Fie and wished she could have returned before the series ended. A request: please continue the series into the 50's and 60's. This is the best series I've ever watched. Thank you Denmark!

This series breaks the stereotyped image many hold of the Scandinavian people and culture in the USA. Instead of an educated, tolerant and sophisticated people the entire village in the series Acquitted is just the opposite: the people were mostly uneducated and totally intolerant of outsiders and their neighbors who don't have material wealth and status. Eva was the worst of the entire miserable crowd. I hope we get more uplifting series about Norwegian life. A major disappointment isof a series.

This movie speaks to the loneliness and emptiness experienced by the main character in a job he hates. He meets young people who take him out of himself and his isolated life into their world with its ups and downs, frustrations and pleasant surprises all wrapped up together. In other words he entered into life again and found moments of love. An excellent movie with memorable performances.
