Just plain horrible.
I was hoping against all hopes that D&D had learned their lesson after the appalling GoT final season but it was doomed from the start. The 3 Body problem is one of my favorite book series ever.
The source material is nothing short of stellar and another TV adaptation already exists that does a superb job at capturing the main focal points (despite it's limited budget).
Now here we are with Netflix commanding vast resources and what we get is this... this abomination. Where to even begin?
The casting director did a horrible job. The heavy science background is vastly simplified to a great detriment to the story. The dialogue is borderline comical. As mentioned the source material is impeccable but somehow the writers still managed to F it up. This is just a horrible show with almost no redeemable quality.
Netflix and other major studios please, please, please for the love of God do not let D&D adapt premium book material ever again.
They simply don't know what they are doing.
