WARNING if you are a die hard fan boy expecting to watch a reenactment of everything you already know and have read of halo then this series is 100% not going to be for you!
That being said, if you come into the series with an OPEN MIND and the expectations of experiencing a new adaptation on the halo series with some common roots but new trees of ideas being formulated then you will enjoy it for what it is. Make no mistake this series is definitely more of a reimagination rather than a direct port from the books or games.
Now as for the reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5, for starters, while the visuals are decent then could have been much better in my opinion. If you are expecting Avatar level production quality you will be sorely disappointed. That being said of course this is a television series and not a movie so production time cannot be nearly as intensive as that movie was for obvious reasons which is why it only dropped my rating by 1 star. However, it has only been 1 episode released as of my writing this review and so many things may change, but as for right now I highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of the Halo world and is open to exploring a new reboot of it!
Also p.s. they are releasing 1 episode a week and the final is something like may 19th, so if you don't have another reason to or aren't already subscribed to paramount+ then I would highly recommend waiting till closer to the finale so you aren't subscribing to yet another streaming service with very minimal content as of right now.
