Back in 2013 when I saw the movie. It instantly became my all time favourite. Lootera is not just a movie, it's an experience of different emotions that we feel in our lives. Sonakshi is just remarkable. I can't praise her enough how she made Pakhi the most beautiful character in the movie. Ranveer unexpectedly takes on the role of Varun and just compliments Pakhi.
As Varun mentions in the movie that he wants to paint a 'masterpiece'. Well, the movie itself is a masterpiece.
The contrast before and after the interval is brilliant. Vibrant, colorful Manikpur in the first half and snow covered, gray Dalhousie in the second.
The music in this movie is on another level. It's one of the main reason that drives the the story forward. Not a single song you'll find boring or unnecessary.
The heart of the movie, it's story. The opening of the movie is where they foreshadow the end but ofcourse it's unpredictable. The adaptation of O Henry's 'The Last Leaf' was an unexpected surprise because I didn't know when I watched the movie. But as the story progressed and I noticed, It just mode me even more emotional. One my favourite stories adapted into my all time favourite Lootera. It's really a shame that movie wasn't successful in box office.
