Okay my OFFICIAL REVIEW I thought the movie was beautifully filmed or should I say it had incredible computer animation. It reminded me alot of Avatar. But 1st, the movie was WAY TO LONG and drawn out. There were alot of scenes that weren't even relevant to the story line. The overall film had a very DARK oppressing moral, with numerous violent scenes. I personally feel it was HORRIBLY CAST with voice actors/talent, the voices DIDNT fit the characters. Beyonce was awful (of course I cant stand her anyway) However (timon, pumba & zazu, were the best.) Even simba as a boy and and adult were aweful. Mufasa was still the voice of James earl Jones but he didnt phrase his lines like the original script and his voice wasn't as powerful as the cartoon. It did follow all the musical ques. However I was thrown off and found it very questionable the way that the monkey found out that simba was still alive (simba hair in giraffe poop) I did LOVE the small pun on the Beauty and the beast, it was hilarious "be our guest" The end scenes were very violent & suspenseful and I wouldn't reccomend it for smaller children. Unlike ALADDIN, this movie is a 1 watcher. Not worth seeing a second time and I really don't think kids would enjoy it. It's too heavy of a plot and the humor wasn't matched with the overall dark side of the film. I would give it a 4 out of a 10 A let down for me.
