Time is a wonderful album, slightly heavier in sound than earlier ones but still has the gorgeous melodies. Personally I think it is the best ELO album Jeff Lynne has ever done because each track is excellent in its own right but they also interlink nicely with each other, the concept is one we can all relate to but he cleverly leaves you to imagine quite a bit of what's going on, so your interpretation of the lyrics means you delve a bit deeper than some music. It was ahead of its time and has stood up well, it still shines to this day - if you haven't ever heard it, I thoroughly recommend trying it. Written May 2020.
