This an excellent movie and I would recommend it. I can also well understand how it was awarded the Oscar for the Best Movie. Whilst I was aware of the discrimination suffered by the Blacks particularly in the Southern States of the USA after WW11 and into the 1960s, it gives one an insight into the nature and extent of the treatment suffered. All this was still occurring when Rock and Roll and the Blues was hitting the airwaves. I am a discerning person when it comes many of the current productions and whether to see a particular movie, but the 'The Green Book' flows along smoothly generating periods of emotion in both laughter and tears.
