I have no idea why I love this movie. I cannot think of one redeeming quality for this, unless you like looking at Vin Diesel. I do like the premise, though. I'm not a big sci-fi fan, but the creatures were original. I enjoyed them immensely. Don't get stuck on the technicals, such as dialogue, acting, scenery, etc. I could write a 10 page compare/contrast essay on those. That being said, this film is extremely entertaining. I've watched it countless times. I choose Pitch Black when I can't decide what I want to watch.

Why does Jason Mamoa need a mini-me? I could like this movie if not for the stupid, pointless sidekick who didn't lend anything to the plot. I got more entertainment from washing my friend's dishes.
