This film feels so empty, it doesn't have a soul, a heart nor a brain.
It's hard to get attached to any of the character, they are all just like NPCs. Their decision making are so forced and most of the time doesn't make any sense.
Like.. Let's burn our house down and hide inside a freezer that was dragged from outside to inside the house pre burning. How on earth can they survive that, if not the smoke would've killed them first, they would've been cooked alive in there. Not to mention they managed to fit 3 teenagers in that box.
And then, these creatures' level of danger is just too random, sometimes the NPCs took them really seriously but sometimes they seem so unbothered by them. (like using yourself as a bait to let it come in to the house to capture it?)
I wanted to rant more, like on how charlotte barely showed any grief/sadness after finding their parents gorely killed like that. or Why that random farm staff wants to shoot the teenager's leg just over one accusation. There are still so much that bothers me but I guess writing this only makes me feel more exhausted and annoyed.
