I loved this movie! Honestly, it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. I understand why some categorize it as a slow burn, but I was captivated from the start. You definitely have to be in the mood for this type of movie, but it is so good!
I found this movie so compelling because it did an amazing job of showing how people (especially women) can be written off as unreliable or crazy because they have a bad feeling about something. The writing and lead actress do an amazing job of showing what it is like to have a gut feeling about something/someone and have everyone around you disregard it. How her fiance reacts to the situation is logical and "rational" but it also frustrated me so much. He never took her seriously and instead blames it on her mental state or loneliness. This situation can and does happen to everyone, no matter their gender, but this movie shows how unconscious sexism influences and enforces this dynamic between men and women (with women being the ones disregarded).
