I can't stand most modern musicals and I don't love older ones either, but the dancing in certain scenes was still impressive. I saw this movie on live TV, so I didn't seek it out on my own. I would say that it's not a necessity to watch, but that doesn't mean that I don't like it. For a musical, it's pretty good. Definitely a WWII film. Note (Unrelated to the film): I'm just adding a note so that anyone reading this will keep in mind that my review may not be as reliable due to my age and I certainly may be misunderstanding parts of older movies especially (Even though most of what I watch are older movies). I am not an adult so my knowledge and understanding of films is apt to change with time.

This movie was really good and better than expected. I've watched a lot of older movies but this is definitely one that I would recommend to someone who enjoys watching old films. Cary Grant is a little different in this role than he is in many of the other roles I've seen him act in, but he still did an excellent job, as did the other actors. The movie had some very funny parts, and also some sad / touching ones. Part of what I like about this movie is that both of the men learned something from the other by the end of it. I assumed that this movie would be a more generic older comedy (which I still love) but it actually did contain a lot more than that with its plot line and characters. One of my current favorites.
