The base material for this show has the potential to be amazing. That being said, underlying attacks upon Christianity, Republicans, and the NRA have essentially made this show into that of a political/religious satire as opposed to that of an enjoyable and gruesome alter-world. After watching the recent superhuman political messages provided by Disney, I had hoped this next up and coming show would provide the audience with a plot which isn’t centered around a progressive agenda. That being said, I’m all for achieving diversity and widening the ethnic scope of characters within a universe. However, promoting slanderous messages upon a particular demographic is not only divisive, but simply wrong. If you want to promote universal love/acceptance, then spare your audience the blatant attacks upon individuals which you feel have wronged you.
