Friends on the left don’t want others on the left to criticize lefties. That was what I felt years ago. Today it’s gotten mad. Friends on the left, right, or middle feel empathy with the struggles of gays coming out. But if you come out as conservative or not there but just point out that the left has lost its way ... let’s take the censorship alone. Or cheating by the DNC / or Russia gate. Or ... so many choices. Then you are somewhere between rejected or even attacked. “Don’t Burn This Book” night not change minds but perhaps the haters will find room in their hearts to treat those with, dare I say “ diverse” views or deeply held beliefs.
