I think people are really reaching here when they pull these higher meaning sub texts and undertones. Its a movie about a coddled child who cant face reality as an adult and instead of growing up she doubles down and moves even further from reality. The humor was like a mix of nacho libre and bad sitcom writing. None of the jokes land and its really hard to watch.
