What makes for a good children's book? My opinion on the book seems irrelevant when my 5, 9, and 10 year old boys look forward to reading each night and beg for just one more chapter well then we’ve got a great book here folks. All the boys were eager to continue reading till the very end. My husband and I made eye contact a few times in the beginning and I worried oh my what did we get ourselves into, but in hindsight I appreciate the conversations this book sparked with my kids. Of those who criticized this book well I rather appreciate the yearning for reading this book facilitated in my kids and I also don’t want my kids living under some rock. It’s good for them to be exposed to things and what better way than to approach that in a read where you can pause to ask questions and have a dialogue. When 3 out of 3 kids loved the book and were engaged well how wonderful. I look forward to more! My kids are already asking about the adventures Jack and CP will have next Christmas Eve!!!
