"Tomorrow is fresh with no mistakes in it." Megan Follows is Anne Shirley in this adaptation. This story tugs at your heart and drags you in with it's dynamic characters. Whoever the casting character, they nailed it. With Marilla's eye roles, Rachel Lynde with her expression when Anne stands up her, Matthew's calm, sweet, and shy disposition, the love in Gilbert's eyes when he pines over Anne, Dianna's perky attitude... I could to go on... but each is so perfectly casted that makes it hard to buy into anyone else playing in these roles.
Something about this story warms and captivates ones heart and you'll be sad and unready.when it's time to leave this world.
The love story of Gilbert and Anne is only one piece.
I'm also fond of the love story between Anne, Matthew, and Marilla. This strange girl comes into their home unexpectedly and Matthew is immediately taken by her. Then I find myself tearing up when they put on her on the train to Queens and Marilla says, "It was providence that brought her to us." And "He knew we needed her" ... then Matthew remarks about her queer little ways and Marilla responds, "I loved her for them." The sincerity in her voice gets me.
If someone hasn't seen this, they are missing out. I promise you will not feel your time has been wasted.
