Ram and a mass role is a match made in heaven!
In his career which spanned for about 15 years,he has barely played such characters.
And we know how much the audience loved him for that transformation in Ismart Shankar.
While Ismart Shankar had Ram in a full on mass masala role, this movie required him to play a dual role with extreme characterizations, thereby balancing both the chocolate boy and the rugged mass image of Ram's.
Siddharth is a well educated, sophisticated and a suave gentleman who has a girlfriend and runs his own construction company. So his life is personally and professionally set!
While Aditya(also played by Ram)is that sleazy, rough and ready youth who makes money by duping people and often loses them in gambling. So his life is always in a mess!
Now the police department, in an attempt to solve a murder case, comes across a footage of Siddharth in the crime scene and takes him into custody. Very soon they realise that there's also someone called Aditya, who is an exact resemblance of Siddharth. This brings the cops back to square one in their investigation.
Who is behind the crime and what's their motive forms the second half which is almost gripping.
Ram pulls off both the roles with ease.
Nivetha Peturaj and Sampath are just about decent in their roles.
The heroines dont really count as they have nothing to do.
The first half seems a tad bit slow, but
the movie picks up from the pre interval and keeps the suspense alive till the end.
The slight lag in the first half, the dragged flashback episode and the ignorant investigation in the second half might turn you off.
But the limited number of songs and just the right run time makes this Tamil remake a good watch.
