A lot of the 1 star reviews on here hate this movie because it’s woke. I don’t care about that. I’m a feminist, I have no desire to control or influence someone’s gender preference and I love Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I hate this movie. The main character is incredibly in your face. She tries too hard to be funny and gropes her friend while her friend is trying to pry her hands off. I’m sad that this is what they came up with for a female Superbad. I’m also sad they tried to create a female Superbad because that movie sucked (and I noticed none of the male reviewers that had a problem with the sex themes in this movie complained about the sex themes in Superbad so let’s just point out that double standard). Way better teen movies out there. Moxie actually was a much better teen woke movie.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Really entertaining, I don’t know why some guys are saying it’s a feminist movie, I didn’t get that vibe at all. It’s more like a caricature of what it’s like to be a woman. I think some guys just get defensive when men are portrayed badly. My one criticism is that the superhero guys get into amazing shape and execute the fight scenes flawlessly (or production and stuntmen do) but the fight scenes in this seemed clunky. Heath Ledgers Joker wasn’t super fit and his fight scenes were fine because he didn’t do moves that someone who has done martial arts would do but Margot Robbie was doing some technical moves but seemed slow when she was doing them, like the opponents were waiting for her to finish with the other guy. The rest was great.

*No spoilers* Loved it. It’s Deadpool with the money and special effects of Marvel. I think it walked the line of using too much special effects but narrowly managed to keep it good by focusing on character development just enough. The jokes were similar to other Deadpool, we all know Ryan Reynolds plays himself (even he knows that) so no surprise. I think he’s funny, I certainly don’t mind his limited range because he does it well but if you do, don’t waste your time. So to sum up: if you like Deadpool and Marvel, you’ll probably like it. If you hate Ryan Reynolds and/or Deadpool why are you even considering watching this?! If you love Deadpool but hate Marvel… this could be disappointing for you so maybe stream it just in case.
