The movie was good in many ways but disappointing in some. I expected to see him perform his music and sing those great tunes. I know it’s not nice to speak ill of the dead but I will. From what I understood in the movie he was a womanizer who had children from many women, I will write that off as a cultural thing. He was not a Martin Luther king, but maybe he could have been. I think he just wanted to do his music and smoke whatever it was that everyone in movie smoking. As I remember, those things they were smoking were much larger. I think the actors did a great job portraying his image and demeanor. I think he could have been much more of a factor in the political situation in his country, his untimely death cut short the possibly. My wife is from Belize, she was constantly telling me the correct pronunciation of many of the words. I understood the words and maybe the mispronunciations were deliberate in order so us none Jamaicans could understand. All in all, good movie, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait for part two, I knew he died young, but next time, we want the music.
