Anek is a thought provoking and audacious movie. Probably the first mainstream movie made about the conflicts in Northeastern states , it launches a pensive enquiry into the perception of peace by Indian state (or for that matter any country) and its effect on people. Some of the narratives among the Indian security officers about the constitutional rights , peace , control are quite interesting. It also have repeated references to Kashmir conflict and the current climate of image politics which makes you chuckle. It's definitely worth a watch and the movie stays away from any hero worship, feel good factors and demonising of any community .
