Some books just show up when you really need them, and Mind Fitness was one of those. Between the world violence and the US falling apart, I was starting to lose hope in the future. This book helped me refocus by reminding me that we are in control of our own thoughts, no matter what we are being bombarded by. The author reminds us that mental fitness must be cultivated, just like physical fitness. By examining our own patterns and working to reinforce what we want, we can help shape the life we want. This is a good summary of many great teachers and helped me choose areas I need to work on, such as patience and living in the moment, with specific suggestions.
