Poor sequel to a good movie. With a thin plot and over the top battle sequences the sfx for the arrival on earth of the alien ship are its only saving grace.

Two and a bit hours of my life I will never get back again. Almost turned it off after an hour but decided to give it a chance to redeem itself as surely all the hype was justified and that there would be an improvement but alas no. Another case of "the emperor's new clothes" syndrome. Don't be seen to disagree with the hype or you will appear foolish. Thank god there can't be a sequel.

This must be the worst war movie ever made. The overall feel of the movie is just wrong. The acting is unconvincing and laughably poor and don't even get me started on the not so special CGI effects. The sinking of the ship was reminiscent of Titanic but with sharks. Very poor all round. The crew of the actual ship deserved a lot better epitaph than this.
