I dont think Jeff Bezos understands the LoR. The story moves too quickly, not enough impact in the first 2 episodes, a disregard for the linguistic genius of J.R.R. Tolkien & too much realism in the filming over the artistic fiction achieved by previous versions. Also, too much effort on racial inclusion in the wake of 2021 U.S.A. societal events instead of capable, meaningful acting. Its awkward. The limited Amazon Prime release is also indicative of short term cash flow & subscription expectations in the monstrosity that Amazon has become... An Amazon Prime membership costs more than a movie theater even if they refund money 30 days later. Bezos did not live up to expectations of this epic story, despite him being warned not to "screw this up." Not impressed. Not recommended. Peter Jackson could have done better with $700M...
