Dear iRacing Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the current safety rating system in iRacing. I have encountered a situation that has left me quite perplexed and frustrated, and I would appreciate some clarification on the matter.
In a recent race, I found myself in a situation where I was crashed into from behind at full speed before even reaching the first turn. To my astonishment, not only did I lose safety rating points due to this incident, but the individual responsible for the collision did not appear to face any consequences in terms of safety rating points. This has left me questioning the fairness and effectiveness of the system.
I consider myself a conscientious racer who consistently prioritizes fair play and maintaining adequate space on the track. However, I find myself repeatedly penalized for the actions of reckless drivers who negatively impact my safety rating. If iRacing aims to provide a true racing simulation experience, it is crucial that the safety rating system is transparent, fair, and effective.
My concern is that there seem to be no meaningful repercussions for those who engage in reckless driving, and even when faced with such behavior, retaliation could potentially lead to an account ban, which is a disheartening prospect for dedicated users like myself.
I believe that iRacing has the potential to provide an unparalleled racing experience, but this is contingent on the reliability and fairness of its safety rating system. I hope that you will consider reviewing and improving this system to align more closely with the expectations of your user community.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and hope to see positive changes that will enhance the overall iRacing experience for all users.
Sincerely,
Remi.
