It’s been a very long time since Spielberg has made a good movie. In this film, there were notable performances by every actor over the age of forty. But the younger actors, most notably the actor playing an early Spielberg, were terribly emotive. As adorable as these juveniles performed, they were miscast … much like the actors in Spielberg’s version of the West Side Story. Both movies are disasters.
